Earlier this month I contacted Precision Plumbing through Home Fixers; and I was very impressed with how soon I was contacted. They were willing to work with me as far as scheduling, which is important as I have to work. I had an situation where I couldn't arrive at a certain time, and the plumber was willing to wait. When I was subsequently able to have the place open earlier, he was prompt and courteous. The plumber quickly diagnosed the problem, and gave me a fair price, for the time it took (1 and a half hours to repair pipes and replace valves) accomplishing it at the time he said. Some repairmen I've worked with had to go back and forth for tools, but he was totally prepared to do the work. I thought the price to replace faucets was a bit high, but I was totally satisfied with the work. I would use them again for any extensive plumbing issues.
To whom this my concern: Last week I needed a plumber, and for the first time I contacted the home fixers, and used “National” I want to say I was very satisfied with their services, most of all there honesty in pricing, any plumber can install a valve, the point is how much is he’s going to rip me off for? I will not tolerate that, The plumber I had before ‘National’ tried to charge me $400 for a $175 dollar job! I immediately sensed something was wrong, I knew the length of time needed to install a lousy valve was under an hour, the cost of that valve was $25, and the average labor is about $150,= $175 to get the job done, so what was the $400 for? I guess he thought I was going to buy Christmas presents for his entire family. Instead, His Xmas present was that he lost a customer, I expect good work that’s a given, but not to get ripped-off while he’s doing it!
